Transcription: In this busy floating market at Damnoen Sadouk, just southwest of Bangkok, women and men in wide-brim straw hats paddle boats laden with fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Indeed, Bangkok was a city originally designed for boats. Rivers and canals were the highways for goods and passengers. Today, however, most canals have been filled in and converted to roads, and Damnoen Sadouk is one of the few reminders of this traditional way of life. you
